Default WTB Scamming Bots??

Every day when we get favor me and a friend are gonna do some UW runs and when we are done we are selling our ecto's. But what I see lately when I'm selling them is that there are a lot of people spamming the same message (WTB ectos 7k) rediculous fast. So I start a trade and offer my ecto's and instead of 'x' K they offer 'x' gold.

So my question is are these guys scamming bots or do they just have a trick to spam and try to scam people?

It really annoys me if I have to trade with 7 people before I can sell my ecto's without being scammed.

EDIT: I'm to smart to fall for such tricks. Hmmm, wrong title tho, had to be: WTB Scamming Bots?

They can be both, the 7g instead of 7k is one of the oldest tricks in the book, kinda suprising to see anyone still fall for that [thenagain, people do buy stuff from email spam as well]

And ANet doesn't seem to be able to make a decent spam-filter either, since ''WT B ectos 1'' to ''WT B ectos 21'' can be spammed without any delay, as long as one single number changes in the spam. Right.

Well I know that ANet has a crap spamfilter. But these guys don't change any numbers it still says the same message.
